What Is Purification What Is Filtration?

Due to the vast array of contaminants found in our water, (microorganisms, bacteria, viruses, parasites, cysts and chemicals - chlorine and it's harmful by products when mixed with other elements (over 106 different chemicals! and more unidentified metals - lead, copper, mercury and Pesticides & Herbicides) no one water treatment is totally effective.

Combining treatment technologies will effectively remove most if not all the unwanted pollutants from our water. Testing your water is recommended however it is expensive and to test water properly one should send in a sample at least once each month. Chemicals and unwanted pollutants can show up in higher concentrations depending upon the time of year they are being used or absorbed. Instead of spending thousands of dollars obtaining a full detailed water testing report why not apply it towards a good water purification system and be assured it is money well spent with a "Positive Solution"!

Filtration is the removal of certain elements from the water through the use of screens (sediment filters) collecting and trapping suspended matter (dirt & sand). Filters that have a carbon material additionally absorb gaseous odors thus improving taste. The efficiency of filtration is limited to how fast the water flows over the carbon and how much carbon material is contacted. There is a multitude of other contaminants still found in the water.

Purification is the separation of most all pollutants from the pure water molecules. There is no process treatment that removes all the contaminants, therefore combining treatment technologies will effectively remove most if not all the unwanted pollutants from the water! The 3 most effective methods combined to eliminate impurities are Reverse Osmosis (Separation), Sediment Filtration & Carbon Absorption. The performance of all water systems is dependent on Water pressure, temperature & contaminant level.

5 STAGE RO SYSTEMS: are for those individuals that demand thee highest quality from their water purifier, have high concentrate of pollutants or chlorinated treated water, demand high output when making purified water. It has the most combined water treatment technologies and will cost more in the up-keep changing out filters.

SEDIMENT FILTERS - remove turbidity (dirt & sand). CTO FILTERS - Carbon/sediment filters combined (extruded activated carbon block). PB+1 FILTERS - carbon/sediment filters that has been treated to additionally remove lead & other metals. DI FILTERS - Deionization which absorbs TDS (metals & minerals) that slipped pass the membrane separation process. UV IRRADIATION disinfectant process that alters & destroys DNA of microorganisms. Recommended especially for non-chlorinated water.
