Are you buying bottled water? Are you tired of lugging
gallons of water home from the store? Are you spending more than 50
cents per day on bottled water? You can have all the purified water that you, your
family, your fish or your pets can drink right in your own home. DK Industries/Minnesota
Water Resources has been installing and maintaining water purification
systems in the Minneapolis/Saint Paul area for 24 years. We have installed
over 2000 systems. We can install one for you. Here's how it works: We will install a reverse osmosis water purification
system in the location of your choice in your home. Most installations
are in the kitchen, with the unit installed under the sink and water
dispensed at the kitchen sink via a separate spigot. The RO unit is
quite compact. The storage tank is about 12 " diameter by 15 "
high. Alternatively, the tank and RO unit can be installed in the basement
or other remote location with the spigot at the sink.
The
complete price of our Starstream 2010 unit installed is $595.00 including
tax. Group discounts are available as well as financing. This
unit will easily meet most family's needs. The holding tank can deliver
about 3 gallons of water at one time and the unit will produce another
3 gallons within 5 hours. Maintenance
consists of annual filter changes, and replacing the membrane every
2 to 3 years. What is the Annual cost? Assume a system life of 10 years,
annual filter changes and membrane replacement every 2 years, service
provided by D.K. Industries. Total cost (including initial purchase)
will be about 1900 over 10 years or 190 per year, or 52 cents per day.
In practice, these systems have a useful life much greater than 10 years.
Warning:
All water purification or filtration systems require regular filter
changes in order to function properly. Do not even think about installing
a system unless you are committed to paying the annual expense of maintaining
the system every year. D.K.
Industries can remind you when you need to change filters or membranes
if you choose.
